Rules of the forumEach registered user of the Stalker.pl forum accepts the rules below. In case of not respecting them, warnings, and furthermore banning will occur.
1. Respect to other participants of the discussion
2. Culture of the written statements
3. Doubling discussion
4. Topic names
5. Unneeded posts
6. Quoting
7. Links to external sites
8. Signatures
9. Accounts1. Respect to other participants of the discussionWe don't insult other users; we respect their beliefs and realize that everyone has their own opinion.
2. Culture of the written statementsIn our post's we try to preserve the above-mentioned culture and ELEMENTARY rules of writing. We don't make excuses that we have a keyboard from our German uncle etc. We use punctuation marks; we use a space after them etc. If we don't know how to write a particular word, even Google can suggest the proper spelling. We avoid writing in all-caps.
3. Doubling discussionBefore making a new topic we check if someone else hasn't accidentally given the answer to the question bothering us in the FAQ. For this purpose we have the SEARCH option. Doubled topics will be deleted. However, if we see a topic that has already been discussed, a simple “twas there” isn't enough. It's worth to draw attention to the topic author and at the same time provide him with the link to a proper topic.
4. Topic namesWhile writing a new topic, we try to make the topic name related with the raised question (e.g. “HELP” is a bad topic name, but “Problem with mission XXX” seems like a very specific question and will help in solving the problem).
5. Unneeded posts We don't write unneeded posts. The post counter in our profile isn't a popularity meter or a way of improving our ego. 10 meaningful posts = 100 posts with unneeded spam. We don't make double posts. Once a post is written, it needs to be edited if needed. If we don't have anything to say, we don't say anything. Let's have the growing forum database in mind. Posts brining nothing into the topic, quarrels, spam etc. will be deleted and their authors punished.
6. QuotingWe exercise restraint when quoting. We don't quote whole statements, but only small fragments to which we answer. We categorically don't quote pictures!
7. Links to external sitesWe don't give links to materials that can affect copyrights, warez, torrent sites and others to which we don't have rights. It's also forbidden to advertise sites and forums competitive to the Stalker.pl sites in posts and signatures.
8. SignaturesWe try to prevent that our signatures aren't bigger than a sensible height of 110 pixels. The content of the signature or avatar can't be racist, religion insulting and otherwise found as inappropriate.
9. AccountsEach user can only have one account. Detection of an account used to impersonate imaginary users will be penalized with a ban.
Cheers to Strzelec for the on-going correction of my mistakes
